Jasper Flesche

Jasper Flesche

Founder & Flight Instructor

CFI, CFII, ATP | Type Ratings: G200, MU-2

Jasper Flesche brings extensive aviation experience and a passion for teaching to the Columbia Flying Club. Jasper began his aviation career as a firefighting pilot and currently flies professionally as a full-time corporate pilot. He holds Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument (CFI-I) certificates and has experience in a wide variety of aircraft, from piston trainers to turbine-powered business aircraft. As an instructor, Jasper is dedicated to developing safe, confident, and proficient pilots through practical training and mentorship. Outside of flying, he enjoys fitness, spending time with his Australian Shepherd Waylon, supporting the local aviation community, and helping others achieve their aviation goals.

Angeline is a Certified Flight Instructor holding CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates. Aviation has been a lifelong passion, and she is dedicated to helping students build confidence, develop strong flying skills, and achieve their aviation goals in a supportive learning environment. The experiences and challenges she has encountered throughout her aviation career have shaped her both personally and professionally, fueling her commitment to giving back to the aviation community. Outside of flying, Angeline enjoys road trips, listening to music, and spending time with her cat, Tolleson.

As a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI), Melia is committed to helping pilots develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to fly safely and proficiently. She provides personalized instruction for students pursuing private, instrument, commercial, and multi-engine ratings, with an emphasis on strong fundamentals, sound decision-making, and professionalism. Melia strives to create a supportive learning environment that prepares pilots for success both during training and throughout their aviation careers. When she is not flying, she enjoys traveling, returning home to Maui, and spending time with friends and family while creating lasting memories with the people she cares about most.

Safety & Maintenance

Maintenance Program: Our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards by certified A&P mechanics. All aircraft undergo regular 100-hour inspections and are equipped with modern avionics.

Dispatch Rules: We follow strict weather minimums and operational procedures. If conditions aren't safe, we don't fly—no exceptions.

Member Checkouts: Every member completes a standardized checkout in each aircraft with a club CFI before solo flight privileges are granted.

Currency Requirements: All members must maintain current flight reviews, medical certificates, and 90-day currency for carrying passengers.
